This video shows our esteemed artists Madhavi Mudgal and Nahid Siddiqui from the Kathak and Odissi sphere rehearsing and coming together for a unique pairing and fusion of two classical Indian dance styles on one stage for the finale performance of our performance evening. The event was open to the local community and the wider public.

This video shows our youngest students’ impromptu performance piece, put together by themselves instilling various dance techniques and repertoires they were learning and using the natural space around them innovatively.

This spontaneous motivation and genuine enthusiasm for the dance form, the creativity involved in thinking and composing steps for themselves as well as the desire and confidence to them approach the senior students and teachers to showcase their skills and what they have learned encompasses everything our organisation strives for in encouraging and nurturing the next generation of Odissi dancers in the UK.
